Late 1950s to 1960s Jacques Heim demi couture cocktail dress with a lovely and unusual velvet trim design. It has a wide boatneck and short sleeves, which feature a black velvet panel with intricate swirl detail. The main body of the dress is cut from a structured raw silk, with gorgeous bust seam detail to the front. The waistband creates a lovely feminine silhouette and has pleated detail to the skirt, which is finished with a matching velvet trim.
This piece is in really great vintage condition and has no visible marks or stains to note - its looks hardly worn. Of very high quality construction, there is a good deal of hand-finishing to the dress and and as well as the designer label, it also features the retail label Morell of Curzon Street, Mayfair, London. This piece would fit up to a 10-12 UK or 6-8 US.
